Celebrating One Year on Queens Road

It was our Watford Baby Boutique's 1st Birthday Party! πŸŽ‰

We had the best time yesterday celebrating the 1st anniversary of our charity shop on Queens Road in Watford, joined by staff, volunteers, trustees, supporters, customers and Peter Taylor, the Mayor of Watford. It was great to mark the year we've had, and we can't wait for the year ahead!

The star of the show had to be the beautiful cake provided by Denise and Dave at Tapestry Cakes, which looked just like one of our baby baskets. We couldn't quite believe it was an actual cake and not a real baby basket! Thank you for collaborating with us on this special day πŸ™Œ

Thank you to the Mayor of Watford for joining us and for his support of our work in helping anyone facing pregnancy-related challenges.

"I think we were all a little apprehensive about moving to a smaller shop. However, we have had a brilliant first year. Regular customers have followed us here, and new ones have discovered us, all commenting on how lovely and bright the shop is, as well as the warm welcome they receive from our staff and volunteers. We are also grateful for the community of other retailers on Queen's Road. We look forward to continuing to provide high-quality items at affordable prices to local families."

- Gill, volunteer (and winner of the Charity Worker of the Year award!)
